How to use

Charge the built‑in battery via the micro USB port before first use. Insert a Class 10 microSD card (max 128 GB) if local recording is required. Mount the camera using the supplied bracket on a wall or other surface and adjust the angle for optimal coverage. Connect the camera to a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network and use the SJCam app (or the manufacturer’s recommended app) for live view, configuration of motion detection, and enabling push notifications. The PIR sensor will start recording automatically when it detects motion within the device’s range.

Usage recommendations

For reliable motion detection and night performance, mount the camera at a height and angle that places expected subjects within the 143° detection zone and within approximately 10 meters. Use a Class 10 microSD card and ensure the camera is charged regularly; although average daily use can yield long standby times, battery life varies with settings and environmental conditions. The IP65 rating protects against rain and splashes but avoid prolonged immersion.
