SmallRig Full Cage 3667B is a protective and mounting solution for Sony Alpha 7R V, Alpha 7 IV, Alpha 7S III, Alpha 1 and Alpha 7R IV cameras. The cage secures the camera with a bottom locating pin, a 1/4"-20 screw and an M2.5 side screw, while built-in protective spacers reduce the risk of scratches. It provides access to all interfaces, dials, buttons and the battery door and includes an Arca‑Swiss compatible quick release plate at the base, compatible with DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro stabilizers and Arca plates such as 3154.

Advantages

The cage offers multiple mounting options including 1/4"-20 threaded holes, ARRI 3/8"-16 locating holes and cold shoe mounts for attaching top handles, side handles, microphones, LED lights and monitors. A built-in spindle spanner shaped to fit the camera curve allows room for the little finger for a comfortable grip. The bottom OD socket supports a QD shoulder strap and side/bottom holes accept hand and shoulder straps. An optional HDMI cable clamp (3000) is available to secure HDMI connections and protect interfaces during recording. The kit also includes a built-in magnetic spanner to simplify assembly and disassembly.

How to use

Mount the camera into the cage by aligning the bottom locating pin and securing it with the 1/4"-20 screw and the M2.5 screw on the left side. Choose the correct side lock adapter: the piece marked “A7 IV” fits Alpha 7 IV and Alpha 7R V, while the piece marked “A7S III/A1” fits Alpha 7S III, Alpha 1 and Alpha 7R IV. Attach accessories to the available 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 holes or cold shoe mounts. Install the Arca‑Swiss quick release plate at the bottom when mounting the camera on compatible stabilizers or tripod heads. If using an external HDMI cable, install the optional HDMI Cable Clamp 3000 to secure the connector and reduce strain on the port.

Usage recommendations

Check that the selected side lock adapter matches your camera model before tightening all screws. Keep the protective spacers clean and avoid over-tightening the M2.5 screw to prevent damage to the camera body. Use the built-in magnetic spanner when assembling or removing accessories to avoid losing small tools.
