Description

The SmallRig Lateral Center Column Tripod CT200 (model 4288) is designed for shooting, live streaming and vlogging with smartphones and digital cameras. The center column is stored inside the tripod's top casting to save space and can be switched to a vertical orientation. The tripod converts to a monopod by removing one leg and attaching it to the head, and the reversible center column enables low-angle shooting.

Advantages

The 4-section legs with lever locks allow quick height adjustment up to 185 cm while maintaining stability. The top 3/8"-16 screw supports various fluid heads for photography and video production, and 1/4"-20 threaded holes in the leg joints enable mounting of accessories such as Magic Arm 3874 and 3959 for microphone, monitor or image transmission systems. Built-in weight bag increases stability, and silicone foot pads hide spike feet that can be exposed for use on rough or soft terrain.

How to use

Extend the 4-section legs and lock the levers to set the desired working height. To switch to vertical column orientation or low-angle shooting, reverse the detachable center column that is stored in the top casting. Remove one leg and attach it to the head to convert the tripod into a monopod. Mount your fluid head on the top 3/8"-16 screw and secure accessories using the 1/4"-20 threaded holes in the leg joints.

Usage recommendations

Use the built-in weight bag when operating in windy conditions or on uneven ground to improve stability. Remove the silicone foot pads and deploy the hidden spiked feet for better grip on soft or rough surfaces.
