SmallRig 6152 Floating Grip for Action Cameras

The SmallRig 6152 Floating Grip for Action Cameras is an essential accessory designed to keep your recording device safe and afloat if accidentally dropped in water. Built specifically for aquatic environments, this ergonomic handle provides a secure and stable hold, reducing hand fatigue and making it significantly easier to capture smooth, steady footage while swimming, snorkeling, or engaging in various water sports.

Advantages

This floating grip features a reliable buoyancy design that prevents action cameras from sinking to the bottom of a pool, lake, or ocean. The ergonomic construction ensures a comfortable and firm grip even when hands are wet, allowing for extended recording sessions without discomfort. Its lightweight profile makes it easy to pack and carry during travel, while the durable build withstands regular exposure to water and outdoor elements.

Suitable for

• Water sports and aquatic activities
• Swimming and recreational pool use
• Snorkeling and shallow diving
• Surfing, kayaking, and paddleboarding

When it may not be suitable

This accessory may not be ideal for deep-sea diving where heavy-duty professional mounting rigs are required. It is also less suitable for dryland activities where buoyancy is unnecessary and a standard tripod or extended selfie pole would provide better utility.

Key specifications

• Designed for action cameras
• Provides buoyant water support to prevent sinking
• Ergonomic handle for a secure and stable hold
• Suitable for water sports and aquatic environments

How to use

Attach your action camera securely to the mounting point on the top of the floating grip, ensuring the connection is tight before entering the water. Hold the ergonomic handle firmly during your recording sessions to maintain stability and control. In the event that the grip slips from your hand, let it float to the surface and retrieve your device safely.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify compatibility with your specific action camera model
• Consider your primary use cases to ensure water-based activities are your main focus
• Evaluate whether additional mounts or straps are needed for your specific adventure

Usage recommendations: Rinse the grip with clean fresh water after every use in salt water or chlorinated pools to maintain material longevity. Regularly check the mounting connection to ensure your action camera remains firmly attached during active movement.
