Drill bit for metal Smart HSS cylindrical 1.1 mm, pack of 10
Smart cylindrical HSS drill bits, 1.1 mm diameter, pack of 10, are intended for precision drilling in metal and other hard materials. Made of high-speed steel (HSS), these bits offer increased heat resistance and wear performance during cutting operations. The cylindrical shank design is compatible with standard chucks on hand drills and drill presses, enabling straight, accurate holes in thin sheet metal, brackets, electronic chassis and general metalworking tasks.
The HSS material provides good hardness and thermal stability for sustained drilling into metal without rapid dulling. A small 1.1 mm diameter enables precise micro-holes for fastening, electrical connections and component mounting. The cylindrical shank ensures secure clamping in standard drill chucks and facilitates use in both portable hand drills and bench drills. Supplied as a pack of 10, the set reduces downtime caused by broken or worn bits and allows multiple operations or spare replacements.
Mark the drilling position and secure the workpiece to prevent movement. Choose an appropriate drilling speed for small-diameter HSS bits—moderate RPMs reduce heat and improve tool life. Use cutting fluid or light oil when drilling metal to reduce friction and extend bit life. Start drilling with light pressure to establish the pilot, then apply steady pressure until the hole is complete. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear chips and allow cooling when drilling deeper holes.
For best results, clamp the workpiece firmly and use a center punch to locate the hole before drilling. Select lower speeds and use lubricant when cutting stainless steel or other high strength alloys. Replace worn or chipped bits promptly to maintain hole quality and avoid damaging the workpiece.
