Chisel SDS‑Plus flat wide 40x250 mm Smart
Flat SDS‑Plus chisel Smart with a wide 40 × 250 mm blade designed for use with SDS‑Plus rotary hammers. The chisel is intended for chiselling, tile and mortar removal, and general demolition work in masonry and concrete. Constructed from durable steel and finished with a beveled cutting edge, it provides controlled breaking and effective material removal when paired with compatible SDS‑Plus tool holders.
The tool features a wide 40 mm blade that increases coverage and reduces the number of passes required when removing tiles, mortar or thin layers of concrete. Its SDS‑Plus shank design ensures quick, secure mounting and consistent power transfer from rotary hammers. Heat‑treated steel construction improves resistance to bending and wear during repetitive impact work, while the beveled cutting edge facilitates precise scoring and progressive material removal.
Insert the SDS‑Plus shank into the rotary hammer’s tool holder until it locks securely. Select an impact setting and power level appropriate for the substrate and machine capability. Position the 40 mm blade edge against the work surface at an angle suitable for the task; use a shallower angle for scraping or tile removal and a steeper angle for breaking or deeper chiselling. Apply steady, controlled strokes and move progressively along the area to avoid concentrated stress that could damage the tool or substrate. Periodically inspect the chisel for wear and replace when the edge becomes excessively rounded or the shaft shows deformation.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and ear protection, gloves and dust mask. Match the rotary hammer’s power and impact settings to the chisel size and work material. For prolonged use, allow the tool and machine to cool periodically to reduce thermal stress.
