Concrete drill bit Smart SDS+ 7 mm (model 17-07160)
Concrete drill bit Smart SDS+ 7 mm (model 17-07160)
Smart SDS+ concrete drill bit, 7 mm diameter, designed for use with SDS+ rotary hammer drills. This drill bit is intended for drilling into concrete, masonry and natural stone to create anchor holes, dowel seats and through-holes. The shank fits SDS+ chucks to ensure quick seating and positive percussion transfer for efficient drilling in construction and renovation tasks.
The hardened and precisely ground tip enhances centring and reduces walking at the start of drilling, while the flute geometry removes dust effectively to maintain drilling speed. Compatibility with SDS+ systems provides secure tool fit and reliable transfer of percussive energy. The 7 mm diameter is a common size for fixing anchors and dowels, offering straightforward use with standard fasteners and through-fixing applications.
Install the Smart SDS+ drill bit into the SDS+ chuck of your rotary hammer until it locks. Select the hammer drilling mode on the tool and position the tip at the intended drilling point. Apply steady axial force and allow the tool's percussion action to do the work; avoid excessive pressure that could cause premature wear. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear dust and prevent overheating when drilling deep holes.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask. For reinforced concrete, use reduced feed pressure near rebar and confirm drill depth suitable for the selected anchor or dowel. Store the bit dry and protected to prevent corrosion and damage to the cutting tip.
