Drill Bit Smart SDS Plus Duo 12×1400/1350 – Smart
SDS Plus drill bit Smart Duo 12×1400/1350 is designed for rotary and hammer drilling in concrete, reinforced concrete and masonry. With a 12 mm diameter and a total length of 1400 mm (effective working length 1350 mm), this drill bit enables drilling deep anchor holes, through-holes and installation openings using SDS Plus rotary hammers. The shank fits standard SDS Plus chucks, providing secure retention and efficient impact transfer for demanding construction and installation tasks.
The Smart SDS Plus Duo 12×1400/1350 combines long reach and compatibility with SDS Plus tools to reduce the need for extension accessories. Its rigid shaft construction maintains straight drilling in deep holes while the tip geometry is optimized for fast penetration in concrete and masonry. The long effective length allows installation of anchors and pipes in thick walls and slabs without multiple tool changes.
Select an SDS Plus rotary hammer with sufficient power and place the drill bit into the chuck until it locks. Mark the drilling position and start at low speed to create an initial guide hole, then increase hammer action and speed as needed. Apply steady axial pressure without forcing the bit; allow the hammer action to remove material. Withdraw periodically to clear dust and ensure efficient cutting, especially when drilling deep holes. Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and dust control.
For best results, use this 12×1400/1350 SDS Plus bit in rotary hammers rated for heavy-duty drilling and match drilling speed to the substrate hardness. When drilling reinforced areas, proceed with controlled pressure and clear debris frequently to maintain bit alignment and prolong service life.
