Drill Bit Smart SDS+ for Concrete 5 mm (model 20-0500110)
Drill Bit Smart SDS+ for Concrete 5 mm (model 20-0500110)
Smart SDS+ drill bit for concrete, 5 mm diameter, is intended for use with SDS+ rotary hammers and hammer drills to bore holes in masonry and concrete. The 5 mm size is suitable for anchors, dowels and light anchoring tasks. The bit features an SDS+ shank for quick, secure insertion and removal, a carbide tip for impact drilling, and a flute geometry designed to evacuate dust efficiently during percussive operation.
The Smart SDS+ 5 mm drill bit delivers consistent centring and reduced wandering at startup due to its tip design, improving hole accuracy in concrete and masonry. Its carbide cutting tip maintains performance and edge life under repeated percussive loads, while the flute profile helps remove chips and dust to keep the drilling path clear. The SDS+ shank ensures fast and stable tool engagement and reliable torque transfer during hammering.
Select a compatible SDS+ rotary hammer or hammer drill and install the 5 mm drill bit by inserting the shank into the tool’s chuck until it locks. Mark the drilling point, use steady axial pressure and start at low speed to establish the hole, then apply percussive mode and moderate force to advance the bit through concrete or masonry. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust and chips from the hole and the flutes, and avoid excessive side load to prevent premature wear or breakage.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and a dust mask. Choose drill speed and impact settings according to material hardness; for reinforced concrete, drill slowly and withdraw frequently to clear debris. Store the bit dry and protected from impacts to preserve tip geometry.
