Drill Bit Smart SDS+ 6 mm for Concrete, model 20-0600260
Smart SDS+ 6 mm drill bit for concrete (model 20-0600260) is designed for use with SDS+ rotary hammers to drill clean 6 mm diameter holes in concrete, brick and other masonry materials. The bit features a purpose-built tip and flute geometry that support chip evacuation and efficient drilling under hammer action. It is intended for standard construction tasks such as installing anchors, conduits and light fixings where a reliable 6 mm hole is required.
The drill bit combines an SDS+ shank for fast, secure coupling with a ground tip profile that improves centring and reduces walking at start-up. Optimised flute design promotes rapid removal of dust and debris from the hole, helping to maintain drilling speed and reduce overheating. The hardened cutting edges extend service life for general construction use while the compact 6 mm diameter makes it suitable for tight drilling patterns and light-duty anchoring.
Fit the SDS+ 6 mm drill bit into the rotary hammer chuck until it locks securely. Select hammer mode on the tool and start drilling at low speed to establish the hole position, then increase pressure and speed as needed while maintaining a steady axial force. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear accumulated dust and allow cooling, especially when drilling deep holes. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection, hearing protection and a dust mask when working in confined or dusty conditions.
For best results in reinforced concrete or very hard masonry, use a fresh carbide tip and apply moderate pressure with short drilling intervals to avoid overheating. Match hole depth to anchor length and clean holes with a brush or compressed air before inserting anchors or plugs.
