Drill bit Smart SDS+ for concrete 8 mm, model 20-0800310
SDS+ concrete drill bit Smart 8 mm (model 20-0800310) is a single-fluted masonry bit designed for use with SDS+ rotary hammers. It is intended for creating 8 mm diameter holes in concrete, brick and natural stone when using percussion drilling. The bit's SDS+ shank provides secure seating in compatible hammer drills and fast bit changes without additional tools. This drill bit is suitable for standard construction and renovation tasks that require reliable, straight drilling in hard substrates.
The Smart SDS+ 8 mm masonry bit offers a focused single-flute geometry that evacuates dust efficiently during percussion drilling and helps maintain drilling speed in dense materials. Its hardened steel body and precision-ground tip ensure consistent hole diameter and straight drilling with reduced walking at the start. The SDS+ connection ensures a firm mechanical fit and simple installation in SDS+ rotary hammers, allowing quick replacement between tasks.
Fit the SDS+ shank of the Smart 8 mm bit into the chuck of a compatible SDS+ rotary hammer until it locks in place. Select the rotary hammer's percussion drilling mode and position the bit perpendicular to the work surface. Start drilling at low speed to establish the center, then apply steady pressure and allow the tool's hammering action to advance the bit. Withdraw periodically to clear dust when drilling deep holes. After use, remove the bit by retracting it from the tool's chuck and store it in a dry place to avoid corrosion.
For best results, use with an SDS+ rotary hammer of appropriate power for concrete work, wear eye and hearing protection, and clean the hole of dust before inserting anchors or dowels. Avoid excessive side pressure to prevent bit bending or premature wear; replace the bit if the tip becomes dull or the drilling performance declines.
