Drill Bit Smart SDS-Plus Quattro 10 x 210/160 mm
Drill Bit Smart SDS-Plus Quattro 10 x 210/160 mm
The Smart SDS-Plus Quattro 10 x 210/160 mm rotary drill bit is designed for percussion drilling into concrete, masonry and natural stone with SDS-Plus hammer drills. With a 10 mm diameter and a total length of 210 mm (working length 160 mm), this drill bit balances reach and rigidity for standard drilling tasks. The Quattro four-cutting-edge tip improves drilling speed and chip evacuation compared with conventional tips, while the SDS-Plus shank enables secure tool engagement and quick bit changes.
The Quattro four-edge geometry provides faster penetration and more efficient debris removal, reducing binding and heat buildup. Hardened carbide tip ensures wear resistance during repeated use in abrasive materials. The SDS-Plus shank offers reliable retention in compatible hammer drills and simple insertion/removal. Overall design supports consistent hole diameter and straight drilling for anchoring, through-holes and installation work.
Insert the SDS-Plus shank into the hammer drill’s chuck until it locks. Select a proper drilling speed and percussion setting according to the drill manufacturer’s recommendations for a 10 mm bit and the specific substrate. Start drilling with light axial pressure to establish the hole, then apply steady pressure while allowing the hammer action and bit geometry to remove debris. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust from the hole and avoid overheating during prolonged drilling.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection and a dust mask, when drilling. For reinforced concrete, maintain lower speed and steady pressure; for softer masonry, higher speed may improve performance. Replace the bit when the carbide tip shows wear or the bit no longer produces clean, consistent holes.
