Drill bit Smart SDS Plus Quattro 16×300/250 for hammer drills — Smart
The Smart SDS Plus Quattro 16×300/250 is a rotary-hammer drill bit designed for drilling in concrete and masonry. With a 16 mm diameter, 300 mm overall length and 250 mm working length, this bit is intended for making through-holes and deep anchor or dowel holes. The SDS Plus shank provides secure mounting in compatible hammer drills and effective transfer of impact energy to the tip for efficient material removal.
The four-cutting-edge tip geometry of the Quattro design offers stable drilling progress and improved centring in reinforced concrete. The SDS Plus connection ensures quick and secure tool changes and reliable impact transmission during heavy-duty rotary-hammer operation. The length proportions—long overall length with a slightly shorter working length—give room for bit handling while maintaining sufficient engagement for deep drilling tasks.
Insert the SDS Plus shank into the compatible rotary-hammer tool until it locks. Select the hammer-drilling mode and start drilling with moderate pressure, allowing the tool to deliver impact energy rather than forcing the bit. Pull the bit occasionally to remove dust from the hole and maintain drilling progress. For deep holes, periodically withdraw and clean the hole to prevent clogging and overheating of the bit.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection, hearing protection and dust mask. Match drill speed and hammer settings to the substrate and tool manufacturer recommendations. For reinforcement or rebar encounter, stop and inspect; use a dedicated rebar cutter or change technique when necessary.
