Drill bit Smart SDS-plus TRE 8 x 210/160 mm, model 21-0800210
Carbide-tipped drill bit Smart SDS-plus TRE 8 x 210/160 mm is designed for drilling in masonry, concrete and similar mineral substrates with SDS-plus rotary hammer drills. The 8 mm diameter and overall/working lengths of 210/160 mm provide a balance between reach and rigidity for through and blind holes in construction and renovation tasks. The dedicated SDS-plus shank ensures secure retention and rapid bit changes in compatible rotary hammers.
The carbide tip increases wear resistance and maintains drilling performance in abrasive materials. The two-part length profile (overall 210 mm, working 160 mm) allows deeper penetration while limiting flex near the shank for greater control. The SDS-plus shank provides reliable locking and efficient impact energy transfer from the tool to the drill bit. The bit is suitable for repeated use in professional and DIY environments where consistent hole quality and compatibility with SDS-plus systems are required.
Install the drill bit into the SDS-plus chuck of a compatible rotary hammer drill until it locks. Select the hammer drilling mode on the tool and position the tip at the intended drilling point. Apply steady axial pressure while allowing the tool's hammer action to perform the cutting; avoid excessive lateral force to prevent premature wear or breakage. Withdraw the bit periodically to remove dust from the hole when drilling to deeper depths. After use, clean the bit and store in a dry location to reduce corrosion and maintain tip condition.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (eye protection, hearing protection and dust mask) and select drill speeds and hammer settings according to the host material. For reinforced concrete, use progressive feed and shorter drilling intervals to extend tool life. Replace the bit if the carbide tip is chipped or shows significant wear to maintain hole accuracy.
