Digital coating thickness gauge SNDWAY SW-6310A is a handheld instrument for non-destructive measurement of paint, varnish and other non-magnetic coatings on magnetic (iron, steel) and non-magnetic (aluminum, copper) substrates. The device provides quick direct readouts on a clear illuminated display, supports single and continuous measurement modes, stores up to 30 measurement sets and is suitable for use in car workshops, service stations, vehicle inspection stations, used car sales, paint shops and industrial maintenance.

How to use

Insert the supplied AAA batteries and place the gauge probe flat on a calibration substrate to perform zero calibration or use one of the supplied calibration films for film calibration. Select the desired measurement unit (µm or mil) on the device, then position the probe perpendicular to the coated surface and take a single press measurement or enable continuous mode for multiple readings. Use the display rotation if needed to read results easily. Refer to the included user manual for detailed calibration and measurement procedures.

Usage recommendations

For accurate results, perform calibration on the included FE or NFE substrate or a calibration film before measuring. Ensure the probe contacts a flat, clean area at least 25 × 25 mm in size and avoid measuring over edges or rough surfaces. Store the gauge and calibration films in the supplied case and replace batteries when the low-battery indicator appears.
