Sonnet USBC-DHDMI video cable adapter USB Type-A 2 x HDMI Black
The Sonnet USBC-DHDMI video adapter lets you connect two HDMI displays to a single USB-C/USB Type-A port using DisplayLink technology. Designed for systems that natively support only one external display—such as M1/M2 MacBook Air, M1/M2 13-inch MacBook Pro, and M3 14-inch MacBook Pro—the adapter supports two 4K (3840 x 2160) @ 60Hz displays or two 1440p/1080p displays at up to 144Hz. The compact, bus-powered adapter also includes power passthrough so you can charge a connected laptop while driving two monitors.
The adapter expands a computer’s external display capability beyond its native limits by using DisplayLink technology, enabling dual-monitor setups from a single port. It supports high-resolution video up to 4K@60Hz for each HDMI output and carries audio to connected displays. The adapter is bus-powered but also accepts an external USB-C power input to pass through up to 90W to the host, allowing simultaneous display output and laptop charging. Its USB Type-A/USB-C compatibility and compact black design suit both home and office use.
Connect the adapter to your computer’s USB Type-A or compatible USB-C/DisplayLink port. Plug each HDMI cable from your monitors or TV into the adapter’s two HDMI outputs. If you want to charge the connected laptop while using two displays, connect a USB-C power adapter to the adapter’s USB-C power input; the adapter will pass up to 90W to the host. Install DisplayLink drivers on systems that require them for proper operation, following Sonnet or DisplayLink instructions.
For optimal results with M1/M2 Macs, install the latest DisplayLink drivers and connect the adapter to a high-bandwidth USB-C/USB Type-A port. Use high-quality HDMI cables rated for the desired resolution and refresh rate. If your computer has native Thunderbolt 3/4 support and you do not need DisplayLink functionality, consider a Thunderbolt dual-HDMI solution instead.
