ZigBee Network Card Sonoff CC2531 Wireless USB Interface Green
ZigBee Network Card Sonoff CC2531 Wireless USB Interface Green
The Sonoff CC2531 ZigBee Network Card is a compact USB wireless interface designed to integrate ZigBee devices into home automation systems. Supplied with CC2531ZNP-Prod firmware, this green USB dongle provides a PC/Raspberry-compatible interface to IEEE 802.15.4 / ZigBee networks and can be used with zigbee2mqtt for control of Sonoff ZigBee products such as BASICZBR3 and S31 Lite Zb. The device can also act as a ZigBee packet sniffer when needed.
The Sonoff CC2531 offers a ready-to-use USB interface that connects via USB to PCs or Raspberry Pi devices, supports IEEE 802.15.4 / ZigBee protocols and comes preloaded with CC2531ZNP-Prod firmware. Its small form factor and low weight make it easy to install and position. The USB host interface ensures straightforward integration into zigbee2mqtt-based setups for controlling compatible Sonoff devices.
Plug the Sonoff CC2531 into a USB port on a PC or Raspberry Pi. Install and configure zigbee2mqtt or another compatible ZigBee coordinator software, ensuring the coordinator points to the correct USB device path. Use the provided firmware (CC2531ZNP-Prod) as the firmware source; if required, follow the zigbee2mqtt documentation for flashing or updating firmware. After configuration, pair Sonoff ZigBee devices like BASICZBR3 or S31 Lite Zb with the coordinator and manage them through your home automation platform.
Place the USB dongle in a location with minimal metal obstruction and away from other wireless transmitters for best ZigBee range and stability. Use a short USB extension or an angled adapter if direct port placement limits reception. Follow zigbee2mqtt guides for firmware updates and secure coordinator settings.
