Standard zoom lens Sony E 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OSS Black SEL18135.SYX
The Sony E 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OSS (SEL18135.SYX) is a compact, lightweight standard zoom lens for Sony E-mount APS-C cameras. Covering an 18–135mm focal length (27–202.5mm equivalent) it provides a wide-angle to telephoto range suitable for landscapes, portraits and general everyday photography. The lens features Optical SteadyShot (OSS) image stabilization, a circular aperture for pleasant bokeh, and a fast, quiet linear motor AF system in a small 325 g body.
This lens combines a high 7.5x zoom ratio in a compact form factor, delivering broad shooting flexibility without adding significant weight to your kit. An updated optical design with one aspherical element and two ED glass elements ensures high corner-to-corner resolution and effective control of chromatic aberration. Built-in OSS helps reduce blur when shooting handheld, while the precision linear motor provides fast, precise and quiet autofocus suitable for both stills and video.
Attach the lens to a compatible Sony E-mount APS-C camera body, aligning the mount marks and rotating until it clicks into place. Use the zoom ring to select focal length between 18 mm (wide) and 135 mm (tele), and the focus ring for manual adjustments if needed. For handheld low-light or telephoto shots, enable the camera’s or lens OSS to reduce motion blur. Use the camera’s AF modes to take advantage of the lens’s fast linear motor for stills and movie recording.
For close-up shots, move the camera to achieve the 0.45 m minimum focus distance to maximize subject detail and background bokeh. When shooting moving subjects or video, use continuous AF modes to maintain focus. Store the lens with both caps on and avoid exposing it to strong impacts or moisture to preserve optical performance.
