Cast iron grid Sourcing Kamado Bono New Minimo, diameter 34 cm, black
Cast iron grid Sourcing Kamado Bono New Minimo, diameter 34 cm, black is a single-piece cooking grate designed for kamado-style and compatible circular grills. Made from durable cast iron with a black finish, this 34 cm diameter grid provides concentrated heat retention for even searing and clear grill marks. Suitable for grilling, roasting and direct-heat cooking, the solid construction promotes stable surface temperature and faster contact cooking compared with thinner wire grates.
The solid cast iron construction ensures long-term durability and strong heat retention, producing consistent searing and defined grill marks. The single-piece design eliminates weak joints and simplifies cleaning and maintenance. The black finish provides corrosion resistance and a uniform appearance suitable for kamado grills such as the Minimo series and other circular grill models with matching diameter.
Preheat the cast iron grid gradually to avoid thermal shock—start with low heat and increase to the required cooking temperature. For best searing results, allow the grid to reach an even, high surface temperature before placing food. Oil the food or lightly oil the grid surface to reduce sticking. Use appropriate grilling tools with long handles and avoid abrupt temperature changes such as rinsing a hot grate with cold water.
Season the cast iron grid before first use and after occasional deep cleaning by applying a thin layer of cooking oil and heating it to polymerize the oil. After each use, remove food residues with a brush or scraper while the grate is warm, then wipe with a lightly oiled cloth to protect the surface and minimize rust. Store in a dry place when not in use.
