Spamel ST22-B Latching Emergency Stop Button Operator
The Spamel ST22-B is a professional-grade latching emergency stop button operator engineered for integration into industrial control panels and critical safety systems. This component serves as a reliable manual interface for halting machinery and automation processes during urgent situations. Built for durability and consistent performance, it features a secure latching mechanism that locks the button in the activated position upon engagement, ensuring the safety state is maintained until a deliberate manual reset is performed by an operator.
This emergency stop operator is characterized by its high mechanical reliability and robust construction, which are essential for demanding industrial environments. The latching function provides a clear visual and physical indication that the safety system has been triggered, preventing accidental restarts. Its design is optimized for standard mounting configurations, allowing for straightforward installation into existing control panels or new electrical enclosures. The materials used in its construction are resistant to typical industrial wear, ensuring a long service life and consistent operational safety.
This product is an operator component and does not include the contact blocks required for electrical switching, which must be sourced separately. It is not intended for use in environments where specialized explosion-proof or high-ingress protection ratings beyond standard industrial requirements are mandatory.
To install the Spamel ST22-B, mount the operator into a standard 22 mm hole on the control panel faceplate and secure it firmly using the provided locking nut. Once installed, attach the appropriate contact blocks to the rear of the operator. During operation, press the button head firmly to engage the latching mechanism and trigger the emergency stop function. To resume normal operation, rotate the button head or pull it as specified by the mechanical design to release the latch and reset the system.
Always perform a functional test of the emergency stop circuit after installation and during routine maintenance to ensure the latching mechanism and contact blocks operate correctly.
