Spectrum ASA 275 1.75 mm Filament — Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate (ASA), 1 kg, Red
Spectrum ASA 275 1.75 mm Filament in Bloody Red is a 1 kg spool of Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate (ASA) formulated for FDM/FFF desktop 3D printers. The material has been modified to increase flexibility, improve melt flow and reduce shrinkage, providing enhanced layer adhesion and dimensional stability. ASA 275 offers improved UV and weather resistance compared with standard engineering filaments, making it suitable for parts that must retain shape and mechanical properties in outdoor or sun-exposed environments. The spool is vacuum-packed with a desiccant and shows material type, diameter and recommended print temperatures on the label.
Spectrum ASA 275 combines better flow characteristics and lower shrinkage with higher interlayer adhesion, which simplifies printing and reduces the risk of warping on larger models. The modified formulation enables printing nearly as easily as premium PLA while delivering improved thermal stability and UV resistance. Supplied on a transparent, neatly reeled 1 kg spool and vacuum-sealed, the filament is ready for reliable storage and consistent extrusion.
Load Spectrum ASA 275 into a compatible FDM/FFF 3D printer with a filament diameter of 1.75 mm. Use an appropriate nozzle temperature and heated bed settings as recommended on the spool label; start with manufacturer-recommended parameters and adjust extrusion multiplier, print speed and cooling to optimise surface finish and mechanical performance. Ensure good bed adhesion using a suitable build surface or adhesive aid and allow printed parts to cool gradually to minimise residual stress. Store unopened spools vacuum-sealed with desiccant; once opened, keep the filament in a dry environment or sealed container with desiccant to maintain print consistency.
Spectrum ASA 275 prints more reliably when flow, temperature and bed adhesion are tuned for the specific printer. For best outdoor durability, post-process surfaces as needed and avoid prolonged immersion in harsh chemicals. Use enclosure or controlled ambient temperature for large prints to further reduce warping.
