Filament Spectrum PLA Premium Light Grey 1 kg — Polylactic Acid 1.75 mm
Spectrum Filaments PLA Premium Light Grey 1 kg is a 1.75 mm polylactic acid (PLA) filament designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers. Supplied on a 1 kg spool, this light grey filament is formulated for general-purpose printing where dimensional stability, low shrinkage and good bed adhesion are required. The material is biodegradable and offers consistent feeding, suitable surface finish and reliable layer definition for prototypes, models and everyday desktop parts.
Spectrum PLA Premium provides low processing shrinkage, which reduces warping and improves the success rate on open-frame and larger-format printers. Carefully selected colour concentrates deliver uniform light grey tone and strong visual consistency across prints. The filament yields good first-layer adhesion and predictable extrusion behavior, producing detailed surfaces and accurate features while remaining easy to print for both beginners and experienced users.
Load the filament onto the printer spool holder and feed it through the extruder according to your printer manufacturer’s instructions. Use a recommended print temperature and bed settings suitable for PLA on your machine; ensure the nozzle and build plate are clean before starting a print. Allow the spool’s vacuum-sealed packaging to be opened shortly before use and store unused filament in a dry place with desiccant to maintain print quality. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and first-layer height as needed to achieve accurate dimensions and good surface finish.
For best results with Spectrum PLA Premium Light Grey, print with a heated bed set to a moderate temperature, enable cooling after the first few layers, and avoid extended exposure to high humidity. Use moderate print speeds to balance surface quality and detail retention; for large prints, allow adequate cooling between layers to minimize thermal deformation.
