Filament Spectrum PLA Premium Red 1 kg — Polylactic Acid (PLA) 1 kg
Spectrum Filaments PLA Premium Red 1 kg is a 1 kg spool of red polylactic acid (PLA) filament intended for FDM/FFF 3D printers. Made from polylactide, this filament offers biodegradability, low processing shrinkage and consistent colour intensity provided by carefully selected colour concentrates. It is formulated to deliver good bed adhesion and smooth surface quality, making it suitable for general-purpose printing tasks including prototyping, small functional parts and decorative objects.
Spectrum PLA Premium provides reliable dimensional stability and low shrinkage, which reduces warping on larger builds and when printing without a closed chamber. The filament produces intense, consistent red prints with good surface detail and layer adhesion. It is vacuum-packed with a moisture absorber and supplied on a clear spool labeled with material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature for convenient handling and storage.
Load the 1 kg spool into a compatible FDM/FFF 3D printer according to the printer manufacturer’s instructions. Use the recommended nozzle and bed temperatures indicated on the spool label as a starting point and adjust settings for your printer model and part geometry. Ensure the build plate is clean and properly leveled to maximize adhesion. For best results, print with moderate cooling to preserve surface detail and reduce stringing; adapt print speed and layer height based on the desired balance of quality and print time.
Store the vacuum-packed spool in a dry place and reseal or transfer to an airtight container with desiccant after opening to protect filament from moisture. When printing larger objects, consider gradual cooling and appropriate bed adhesion aids (glue stick or PEI sheet) to minimize warping. For post-processing, PLA can be sanded, painted or glued using compatible adhesives.
