3D printing filament Spectrum PLA 1.75 mm Green 1.4 kg
Spectrum PLA 1.75 mm Green 1.4 kg is a polylactic acid (PLA) 3D printing filament in a vivid green hue supplied on a 1.4 kg spool. Designed for compatibility with most desktop FDM/FFF printers, this filament is based on biodegradable polylactide and formulated for low shrinkage, good layer adhesion and consistent diameter control. It is suitable for rapid prototyping, hobby models, educational projects and decorative or functional parts that require good surface detail and reliable dimensional stability.
The filament offers full biodegradability derived from polylactide and provides high aesthetic surface quality with intense, consistent color. Low processing shrinkage reduces warping on open-frame printers, while optimized pellet dyeing and extrusion ensure strong adhesion to print beds and good layer cohesion even on steep surfaces. Measured diameter control during production supports repeatable printing performance and predictable mechanical behaviour.
Load the spool onto a compatible 1.75 mm filament holder and feed into the extruder according to your printer manufacturer’s instructions. Preheat the hotend and print bed to recommended PLA temperatures for your machine and the selected nozzle size; typical settings are in the low–mid range for PLA, with bed temperatures kept moderate or off depending on adhesion needs. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and first-layer height to ensure good first-layer adhesion. Print with appropriate cooling for sharper details and reduce print speed for fine-feature parts. Store unused filament in its vacuum packaging with a desiccant to avoid moisture uptake.
For best results, verify spool diameter and ovality data via the spool ID or QR code before printing and adjust slicer settings accordingly. When printing large items on open-frame printers, keep ambient drafts to a minimum and consider a brim or raft for improved first-layer adhesion. For lost-casting applications, confirm burnout parameters for PLA in your foundry process and remove any adhesives or contaminants from printed parts before investing.
