Spectrum Premium PLA is a polylactide-based 3D printing filament that combines biodegradability with reliable print performance. Available in Violet and supplied on a transparent spool, this 1 kg filament is formulated for consistent extrusion, good bed adhesion and low processing shrinkage, making it suitable for both hobby and professional FDM/FFF printers, including larger machines without a closed build chamber.
The filament provides intense, carefully selected colour concentrations and delivers excellent surface quality and detail. Its polylactide composition ensures full biodegradability. Low dimensional shrinkage reduces warping on larger prints and improves repeatability, while the chosen dye base and pellet formulation support efficient printing and strong adhesion to common build surfaces.
Load the filament into an FDM/FFF 3D printer following the printer manufacturer's instructions. Use the spool information for recommended printing temperature and ensure the build surface is clean for optimal adhesion. Because Spectrum Premium PLA has low shrinkage, it can be printed successfully on open-frame printers; nevertheless, calibrate bed leveling and extrusion settings before printing detailed or large parts to achieve best surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
Store the vacuum-packed filament with the moisture absorber in a dry place. After opening, keep the spool in a sealed container with desiccant if not used immediately. Use standard PLA print settings as a starting point and adjust temperature and speed according to your printer and part geometry.
