3D printer filament Spectrum PLA Premium Polylactic Acid Blue 1 kg
Spectrum PLA Premium Polylactic Acid Blue 1 kg is a 1 kg spool of PLA filament designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers. The filament is made from polylactic acid, offers full biodegradability and is supplied in a vivid Pacific Blue colour. With a spool width of 67 mm and a density of 0.00124 kg/m³, this material is aimed at general-purpose prototyping, hobby modelling and decorative prints where dimensional stability, easy printing and good surface quality are required. The formulation includes carefully selected colour concentrates and dye bases to provide intense colour, reliable bed adhesion and low processing shrinkage, making it suitable for both desktop and larger-format printers without closed chambers.
Spectrum PLA Premium provides consistent extrusion and low shrinkage, which improves dimensional accuracy and reduces warping on a variety of build surfaces. The filament yields fine surface detail and attractive finish, thanks to the concentrated pigments and controlled pellet extrusion. It is biodegradable and suitable for users learning FDM/FFF techniques as well as experienced makers who need reliable, repeatable results for prototypes, models and decorative items. Packaging includes a spool label with material type and recommended printing temperature and the filament is vacuum-sealed with a moisture absorber.
Install the spool on the printer spool holder and feed the filament through the extruder according to your printer manufacturer's instructions. Use recommended nozzle and bed temperatures for PLA material; print on a clean build surface and consider a light adhesive aid (glue stick or PET tape) if needed for first-layer adhesion. Calibrate extrusion multiplier, nozzle height and print speed for optimal surface finish and dimensional accuracy. After printing, allow parts to cool before removal to prevent deformation.
Store the filament vacuum-sealed with the included desiccant until use to minimise moisture absorption. For typical settings, start with a nozzle temperature in the PLA range (around 190–220°C) and a heated bed temperature if used (45–60°C), then adjust per printer and model complexity. Use moderate print speeds and fine layer heights to maximise surface detail. Avoid prolonged exposure to high humidity and direct sunlight to maintain filament quality.
