Spectrum HIPS-X 1.75 mm filament spool, 1 kg, Yellow is a high-impact polystyrene filament formulated for FDM/FFF 3D printing. Designed primarily as a support material for ABS prints, HIPS-X dissolves in D‑Limonene, enabling removal of complex supports after printing. It can also be used as a standalone material where reduced processing shrinkage, matte surface finish and good impact resistance are required. The filament is supplied vacuum-sealed on a transparent spool with a desiccant and label showing material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature.

How to use

Load the 1.75 mm Spectrum HIPS-X filament onto a compatible FDM/FFF printer according to the printer manufacturer's instructions. For use as a support material with ABS, print the ABS and HIPS-X using the appropriate dual-extrusion or multi-material setup, then dissolve the HIPS supports in D‑Limonene after printing. Recommended printing settings are moderate speeds with common nozzle diameters; follow temperature guidance printed on the spool label or your printer material profiles. Store unopened spools vacuum-sealed with desiccant and keep opened spools dry to prevent moisture-related print defects.

Usage recommendations

Use moderate print speeds and standard nozzle sizes; ensure good bed adhesion for large prints. When using HIPS-X as a support for ABS, allow printed parts to fully cool before solvent treatment and follow safety precautions when handling D‑Limonene (ventilation and gloves). Keep filament dry and reseal or store with desiccant after opening to maintain print quality.
