How to use

Load the 1.75 mm Spectrum Smart ABS filament into any FDM/FFF 3D printer that supports ABS. Use the spool label as a starting point for nozzle and bed temperatures and adjust printer settings for optimal adhesion and dimensional accuracy. Allow for a heated bed and consider an enclosure to reduce warping and layer delamination. Print settings may require tuning of extrusion multiplier and print speed to account for the increased flow of the Smart ABS formulation. After printing, parts can be mechanically finished, sanded or smoothed using controlled acetone vapor treatment where applicable.

Usage recommendations

Use a heated print bed and, if possible, an enclosed printing chamber to minimise warping. Store unopened spools vacuum-sealed with desiccant; after opening keep the filament in a dry environment or sealed container with desiccant. Start with manufacturer-recommended temperatures on the spool label and fine-tune extrusion and cooling to achieve the desired surface gloss and dimensional stability.
