Filament Spectrum ABS Smart 1.75 mm 1 kg — Bahama Yellow
Spectrum ABS Smart filament in Bahama Yellow is a 1.75 mm thermoplastic filament supplied on a 1 kg spool for FDM/FFF 3D printers. Designed for parts that require rigidity and impact resistance, this ABS filament offers balanced mechanical properties and stable dimensional behaviour during printing. It is intended for users who need durable prototypes, functional components and assemblies with good layer adhesion when printed under appropriate thermal conditions.
The filament provides consistent extrusion at standard ABS temperatures, resulting in reliable layer bonding and good surface finish for functional parts. Its 1.75 mm diameter ensures compatibility with a wide range of consumer and prosumer 3D printers. The Bahama Yellow colour gives clear visual contrast for parts and prototypes while maintaining material performance typical of ABS: toughness, stiffness and resistance to moderate mechanical stress. When used with a heated bed and, if possible, an enclosed build chamber, it reduces warping and dimensional variation.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into a printer configured for ABS. Typical extrusion temperatures for ABS are in the range recommended by your printer or hotend manufacturer; start within the common ABS range and adjust for optimal flow and layer adhesion. Use a heated build plate and set bed temperature to minimise warping. Print with appropriate first-layer settings and consider a brim or raft for larger flat parts. Allow printed parts to cool gradually; avoid rapid cooling that can cause delamination or warping.
For best results, print with an enclosed or semi-enclosed build volume and a heated bed. Use bed adhesives or surface preparation suitable for ABS, such as ABS slurry, PEI sheet, or specialised adhesives. Store the spool in a dry, low-humidity environment or sealed container with desiccant to preserve filament quality.
