Filament spool Spectrum ABS 1.75 mm Dark Grey, 1 kg
Filament spool Spectrum ABS 1.75 mm Dark Grey, 1 kg is a Smart ABS filament designed for durable, heat‑resistant 3D printing. The filament has a 1.75 mm diameter and comes on a 1 kg spool, compatible with FDM printers that accept 1.75 mm filament. Spectrum Smart ABS is formulated to reduce typical ABS printing difficulties: it exhibits lower shrinkage, a shiny surface finish, a reduced printing temperature and increased flow rate compared with standard ABS. The spool is vacuum‑packed with a moisture absorber and labelled with material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature; package weight is approximately 1.4 kg and the spool width is 67 mm.
Spectrum Smart ABS offers higher impact resistance and relatively high rigidity while retaining performance at temperatures down to -40 °C. Improved processing parameters reduce warping and emissions of irritant volatiles during printing. Prints show a smoother, glossy surface and the material accepts post‑processing methods such as acetone vapor smoothing for very smooth finishes. The filament is packed to limit moisture uptake and supplied on a transparent spool with clear labeling for easy setup.
Load the 1.75 mm Spectrum Smart ABS filament into a compatible FDM printer following the printer manufacturer’s filament loading procedure. Use the recommended nozzle and bed temperatures indicated on the spool label as a starting point and tune settings for your specific machine and part geometry. To reduce warping, use a heated bed and consider an enclosure or brim when printing larger parts. Ensure proper ventilation in the printing area due to emissions during melting, and allow printed parts to cool gradually to minimize residual stress.
For best results, store unopened spools in a dry place or in sealed packaging with desiccant. When printing, start from the spool’s recommended temperature range and adjust flow and retraction settings to balance surface finish and stringing. For a glossy, smooth final surface, apply controlled acetone vapor smoothing in a dedicated, well‑ventilated setup following safety guidelines. Avoid prolonged exposure of printed parts to strong solvents without testing compatibility.
