Spectrum Filaments PLA Glitter is a PLA-based 3D printing filament with embedded high-glitter particles that give printed parts a glossy, sparkling surface. The glitter content increases surface hardness and compression resistance, while making finished parts more brittle. Gloss intensity can be adjusted by changing wall thickness. The filament is supplied vacuum-sealed on a transparent spool with a desiccant and spool labeling that shows material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature.

When it may not be suitable

How to use

Use on standard FDM printers equipped with a hotend and a nozzle of 0.4 mm diameter or larger to avoid clogging from glitter particles. Print speeds and retraction settings can be similar to regular PLA, but check first-layer adhesion and extrusion consistency because the filler particles can slightly change flow characteristics.
