3D printer filament Spectrum PLA Glitter 1.75 mm Sparkle red 0.5 kg
Spectrum PLA Glitter 1.75 mm Sparkle red 0.5 kg is a PLA-based filament formulated for FDM/FFF 3D printers that accept 1.75 mm filament. The material produces a decorative sparkling red surface suitable for visible parts and models. The filament comes on a 0.5 kg spool and is intended to deliver easy-to-print performance with low warping typical of PLA, while adding a glitter effect for visual emphasis on finished prints.
The filament combines standard PLA printability with embedded glitter particles to create a shimmering surface without special post-processing. Its 1.75 mm diameter is compatible with common consumer and prosumer FDM/FFF printers. The formulation offers dimensional stability and reduced tendency to warp compared with higher-temperature engineering filaments, enabling consistent layer adhesion and straightforward slicing settings for standard PLA profiles.
This glitter PLA is intended primarily for visual and decorative applications rather than high-strength engineering uses. It is less suitable for parts that require high impact resistance, long-term outdoor exposure under UV, or elevated-temperature performance beyond normal PLA limits. The embedded glitter particles can slightly affect nozzle wear over extensive printing with hardened nozzles recommended for heavy use.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into a compatible FDM/FFF 3D printer and select a PLA print profile as a starting point. Typical nozzle temperatures for PLA (with glitter additives) range from about 190–220°C; begin near the middle of that range and adjust as needed for layer adhesion and surface finish. Use a print bed temperature of 40–60°C or print on a non-heated surface with an adhesive when appropriate. Print at moderate speeds to preserve surface quality and monitor first-layer adhesion. Allow printed parts to cool fully before handling to retain the glossy glitter appearance.
For best results, print at moderate speeds with a well-calibrated extrusion multiplier and cooling enabled for fine details. Use a nozzle size of 0.4 mm or larger for consistent glitter distribution, and test a small sample print to confirm optimal temperature and retraction settings before producing final parts.
