3D printer filament Spectrum rPLA Polylactic Acid (PLA) Black 1 kg
Spectrum rPLA Polylactic Acid (PLA) Black 1 kg is a recycled PLA filament supplied on an environmentally friendly cardboard spool for FDM/FFF 3D printers that accept 1 kg spools. The filament is made by collecting and reprocessing extrusion residuals into a homogenised recycled PLA that preserves the straightforward printing behavior of classic PLA while reducing environmental impact. The product is intended for general-purpose 3D printing tasks such as prototypes, models and household parts and is supplied vacuum packed with a moisture absorber and labelled with material, diameter, colour and recommended printing temperature.
Spectrum rPLA combines the familiar ease of printing associated with PLA with lower environmental footprint by using recycled feedstock and a cardboard spool. It offers low shrinkage after cooling and reliable dimensional stability for standard printing workflows. The filament maintains adequate tensile strength for visual models and functional prototypes while being simple to process on most FDM/FFF machines that accept 1 kg spools.
Install the 1 kg cardboard spool on a compatible filament holder and feed the black PLA into the printer according to your machine's filament loading procedure. Use typical PLA print settings recommended by the printer manufacturer and the spool label for nozzle and bed temperature. Ensure the filament is dry before printing; if moisture is suspected, dry according to your printer supplier's guidance. Monitor first layer adhesion and calibrate extrusion multiplier or flow if needed to obtain accurate dimensions and surface finish.
For best results, print with standard PLA temperatures as indicated on the spool label and avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures above typical PLA limits. Use a clean, dry storage environment when the spool is not in use to preserve printability. The cardboard spool supports sustainability practices—handle gently to avoid damaging the winding and to ensure consistent feed during printing.
