Filament Spectrum TF-24000 3D printing PLA 1.75 mm Black 1 kg
Spectrum Filaments TF-24000 is a 1 kg spool of 1.75 mm PLA filament in black intended for fused filament fabrication (FFF/FDM) 3D printers. The filament offers the typical balance of ease of use and dimensional stability associated with Polylactic acid (PLA), making it suitable for general-purpose prints, prototypes and visual models where surface finish and reliable extrusion are priorities.
This black PLA filament provides consistent diameter and good layer adhesion for predictable printing results. It prints at relatively low temperatures compared with engineering plastics, which reduces the risk of warping and simplifies bed adhesion. The material produces a smooth matte-to-semi-gloss surface finish depending on print settings and enables straightforward post-processing such as sanding, painting and gluing.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into a compatible FFF/FDM 3D printer according to the printer manufacturer's instructions. Set the hotend temperature to the range recommended for PLA by your printer or filament datasheet (commonly around 190–220 °C) and the heated bed to a low temperature or use adhesive aids if required (commonly 0–60 °C). Adjust print speed, retraction and cooling settings to suit the model geometry and desired surface quality. Ensure proper storage in a dry environment when not in use to maintain filament properties.
For consistent results, calibrate extrusion multiplier and bed leveling before printing critical parts. Use moderate cooling for fine details and slower speeds for small features. Store the spool in a resealable bag with desiccant to avoid moisture uptake that can affect print quality.
