Filament Spectrum TF-24008 3D printing PLA 1.75 mm Blue 1 kg
Spectrum Filaments TF-24008 is a 1 kg spool of blue polylactic acid (PLA) filament with a nominal diameter of 1.75 mm, supplied in a box. The filament is formulated for general-purpose FDM/FFF 3D printing and is intended for producing prototypes, visual models and decorative parts where ease of printing, good layer adhesion and dimensional stability are important.
This PLA filament offers consistent diameter and smooth extrusion for reliable printing performance on a wide range of 1.75 mm FDM/FFF printers. It provides good layer adhesion and minimal warping at standard PLA printing temperatures, making it suitable for parts that require accurate surface finish and stable dimensions. The sky-blue colour delivers uniform colour coverage across layers and keeps colour fidelity for painted or post-processed parts.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into a compatible FDM/FFF printer following the printer manufacturer’s guidelines. Recommended printing temperatures for PLA generally range from 190–220 °C; start in the middle of this range and adjust as needed for optimal extrusion and adhesion. Use a build surface suitable for PLA such as blue painter’s tape, PEI sheet or a glued glass bed, and set the bed temperature to 40–60 °C if your printer supports it. Ensure proper filament drying and storage in a dry environment to maintain print quality.
For best results, calibrate extrusion multiplier and retraction settings to reduce stringing and ensure dimensional accuracy. When printing detailed models, lower layer heights and moderate print speeds will improve surface finish. Store the spool in a sealed bag with desiccant when not in use to prevent moisture uptake.
