Filament Spectrum TF-24010 — Polylactic acid (PLA) 1.75 mm, Brown, 1 kg
Spectrum Filaments TF-24010 is a 1 kg spool of brown Polylactic acid (PLA) filament with a 1.75 mm diameter designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers. Packaged in a box, this PLA filament offers consistent diameter, predictable melting behavior and good layer adhesion, making it suitable for general-purpose printing, hobby projects and prototyping where ease of printing and an attractive surface finish are required.
This brown PLA filament provides reliable extrusion and low warping, allowing stable prints on most desktop 3D printers without the need for complex settings. The material is biodegradable under industrial composting conditions and has a relatively low printing temperature compared with engineering plastics, which reduces printer wear and energy consumption. The 1.75 mm diameter ensures wide compatibility with consumer and prosumer extruders and supports detailed prints with fine layer lines.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into a compatible extruder and set printer temperatures according to your printer and nozzle size—typical nozzle temperatures for PLA range from about 190–220 °C and build plate temperatures from 0–60 °C depending on adhesion method. Ensure the filament path is free of dust and use a guided filament feed if available. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and first layer height for optimal surface finish, and print with conservative cooling settings to preserve detail and reduce stringing. Store the spool in a dry place or sealed bag with desiccant when not in use to maintain print quality.
For best results with Spectrum Filaments TF-24010, start with a 0.2 mm layer height and adjust print speed to 40–60 mm/s depending on your printer. Use a clean build surface and, if necessary, apply a light adhesive aid such as glue stick or blue painter’s tape for large flat parts. Dry the filament at low temperature if moisture-related issues like popping or excessive stringing are observed.
