Spectrum Filaments TF-24024 is a 1 kg roll of PETG 3D printing filament in Machinery Orange with a 1.75 mm diameter designed for FDM/FFF desktop printers. Manufactured from polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG), this filament combines good mechanical strength, chemical resistance and reliable layer adhesion, making it suitable for functional prototypes, housings and durable parts that require impact resistance and some flexibility.
PETG provides a balance between the ease of printing associated with PLA and the durability of ABS. This orange PETG offers consistent extrusion, low warping and strong interlayer bonding when printed with appropriate settings. The material resists common chemicals and moisture better than many standard filaments, and the 1.75 mm diameter ensures compatibility with most consumer FDM/FFF machines.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into a compatible FDM/FFF printer following the printer manufacturer's instructions. Typical print settings for PETG include a nozzle temperature in the range of 230–250°C and a heated bed temperature around 70–80°C, though optimal temperatures may vary by printer and filament batch. Use a moderate print speed and enable cooling moderately; reduce cooling for better layer adhesion on structural parts. Ensure the build surface is clean and consider a glue stick, PET tape or a suitable adhesion sheet to prevent edge lifting.
Store the filament in a dry environment or sealed with desiccant to preserve print quality. Allow printed parts to cool gradually to minimize internal stresses. For load-bearing or precision-fit components, perform dimensional tests and adjust slicer settings for adequate infill and wall thickness.
