3D printer filament Spectrum PLA Premium Polylactic Acid — Orange, 1 kg
Spectrum PLA Premium Polylactic Acid — Orange, 1 kg is a 1 kg spool of PLA filament formulated for FDM/FFF 3D printers. This polylactide-based filament offers full biodegradability, vivid carrot-orange coloration and predictable printing behavior. It is intended for general-purpose printing tasks where easy extrusion, low shrinkage and good bed adhesion are required. The spool is vacuum-sealed with a desiccant and labeled with material type, diameter and recommended print temperature.
Spectrum PLA Premium provides intense colour saturation and consistent material flow to support reliable layer formation and fine surface detail. The formulation yields low processing shrinkage, which improves dimensional accuracy on larger builds and reduces warping on printers without an enclosed chamber. Good adhesion to common build plates and predictable extrusion make this filament suitable for both beginners and experienced users. Packaging on a transparent spool with vacuum sealing and a moisture absorber helps maintain filament quality during storage.
Install the 1 kg spool on the printer’s filament holder ensuring smooth feeding into the extruder. Load the filament according to your printer’s standard procedure and set print temperature within the recommended PLA range for your machine and nozzle size. Use a properly leveled bed and a clean build surface; common options include PEI sheets, glass with adhesive or blue painter’s tape. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and print cooling for best surface finish. After printing, allow the part to cool before removal to reduce deformation risk.
For best results, store unopened spools in a dry place; once opened keep the filament in a sealed bag with desiccant. Print with moderate cooling and standard PLA temperatures; reduce print speed for high-detail parts and use a heated bed if available (low temperatures are sufficient). Avoid prolonged exposure to high humidity and direct sunlight to preserve colour and mechanical properties.
