Robot Sphero Mini
The Sphero Mini is a compact, app-controlled robot about the size of a ping pong ball that brings interactive play and basic coding to children aged 8 and up. It connects via Bluetooth and houses a gyroscope, accelerometer and LED lights for precise movement and visual feedback. The robot supports multiple drive modes in the Sphero Mini app, serves as a game controller for built-in apps, and can be programmed using JavaScript in the Sphero Edu app. The set includes three mini traffic cones and six mini bowling pins, and shells are interchangeable for a different look.
Sphero Mini offers several practical benefits: compact size for easy handling and storage, multiple control modes (Joystick, Tilt, Slingshot, Face Drive) for varied play experiences, built-in sensors for accurate motion, and LED lights for clear visual cues. Its compatibility with the Sphero Edu app enables hands-on coding with JavaScript, turning play into a learning opportunity. Rechargeable Lithium Polymer power provides around an hour of playtime per charge.
Charge the Sphero Mini before first use, then pair it with a compatible smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. Open the Sphero Mini app to choose a drive mode (Joystick, Tilt, Slingshot or Face Drive) or use the robot as a controller for the built‑in games. For coding, install the Sphero Edu app and create programs using block-based tools or JavaScript to control movement, lights and behavior. Replace shells by snapping them on or off as needed and set up cones or pins for obstacle courses or bowling-style games.
Use the Sphero Mini on smooth, flat surfaces for best motion performance. Keep the charging port and shell clean and avoid exposing the robot to water. Supervise younger children during charging and when small accessories are in use. Update apps regularly to receive new games and features.
