Composite weight plate Springos ACT0070 — 5 kg, 29 mm centre hole, 27 cm diameter

Springos composite weight plate ACT0070 — 5 kg is a compact gym plate designed for standard bars with a 29 mm centre hole. The plate combines a polypropylene outer coating with bitumen filling to reduce noise and protect flooring while keeping a compact profile: 27 cm total diameter and 4.5 cm thickness. The plate is finished in black and carries the Actiget® logo. It is intended for strength training in home gyms, commercial studios and group classes where a durable, space-saving weight solution is needed.

Advantages

The composite construction with a polypropylene outer layer and bitumen filling provides impact absorption and quieter handling compared with bare metal plates. Compact dimensions and a 29 mm centre hole make this 5 kg plate compatible with standard bars and easy to store. The polypropylene surface protects floors and reduces scuffing, while the dense filling helps maintain balance and stability during lifts.

Suitable for

• Free-weight exercises such as squats, deadlifts and presses on standard bars
• Home gym training where space and floor protection are priorities
• Group fitness classes and circuit training that require quick plate changes
• Strength progression programmes using incremental 5 kg plates

Key specifications

• Weight: 5 kg
• Centre hole diameter: 29 mm (for standard bars)
• Total diameter: 27 cm
• Thickness: 4.5 cm
• Material: polypropylene outer coating with bitumen filling
• Colour: black
• Brand marking: Actiget® logo on the plate

How to use

Slide the plate onto a compatible standard bar with a 29 mm sleeve, ensuring it seats flat against any collars or other plates. Use appropriate collars or clamps to secure the plate during lifting. Check the plate and bar for damage before each session and place the plate gently on the floor or rack to avoid damaging the outer coating. Combine multiple plates as needed to reach target loads and adjust load distribution evenly on both sides of the bar for balanced lifting.

Usage recommendations

Store plates on a dedicated rack to preserve their shape and surface. Avoid dropping plates from height to extend the life of the polypropylene coating and filling. Clean the outer surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent; do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. For safe use, match the plate to bars rated for the intended loads and observe general weightlifting safety practices.
