Cable SSQ SS-1453 Stereo Jack 3.5mm to 2x Mono Jack 3.5mm, 2 m, Black
SSQ SS-1453 is a 2 m audio cable with a 3.5 mm stereo (TRS) plug on one end and two 3.5 mm mono (TS) plugs on the other. It is intended to split a stereo signal into two mono outputs or to combine two mono outputs into a stereo input where wiring and equipment permit. The cable features a black outer jacket and connectors designed for standard consumer and light studio use, suitable for connecting portable players, mixers, recorders, speakers and similar audio devices.
The SSQ SS-1453 provides a simple and compact way to route left and right channels separately without the need for additional adapters or active electronics. Its 2 m length offers flexible placement between devices while keeping signal paths short enough for everyday audio tasks. The dedicated stereo-to-dual-mono wiring preserves channel separation and is compatible with equipment that accepts unbalanced TS inputs.
This passive cable is not intended for converting balanced signals to unbalanced, nor does it perform impedance matching or level attenuation. It may not be suitable where balanced audio connections, long cable runs, or noise-sensitive professional installations are required. Active splitting or a direct box may be preferable in professional environments to maintain signal integrity.
Insert the 3.5 mm stereo plug into the headphone or line output of the source device. Connect the two 3.5 mm mono plugs to the separate mono inputs of the target devices, observing left and right channel assignments if labelled. Ensure devices are powered off or volumes are low during connection to avoid pops or level spikes. Adjust levels on source and destination equipment for correct balance and to prevent clipping.
For best results, use this cable for short, unbalanced connections at line or headphone level. Keep it away from power cables and strong RF sources to minimize interference. If you need to connect balanced equipment or run cable over longer distances, consider using appropriate balanced connectors or active splitting devices.
