The Stabila AL 200cm leveling straight edge is a professional-grade tool engineered for high-precision leveling and smoothing of various surfaces. Crafted from high-quality, durable aluminum, this 2-meter straight edge offers exceptional rigidity, ensuring it remains straight even under demanding conditions. Its lightweight construction allows for comfortable handling during extended work sessions, while the robust profile is designed to withstand the rigors of daily use on construction sites, masonry projects, and plastering tasks.
Advantages
This leveling straight edge stands out due to its superior build quality and structural integrity. The aluminum profile is specifically designed to resist bending and twisting, providing a reliable reference surface for leveling floors, walls, and ceilings. Its ergonomic design facilitates easy maneuvering, allowing professionals to achieve smooth and even finishes with minimal effort. The material is resistant to corrosion and wear, ensuring a long service life even in harsh building environments.
Suitable for
- Leveling concrete floors and screeds
- Smoothing plaster and mortar on walls
- Checking surface flatness during masonry work
- General construction and renovation leveling tasks
When it may not be suitable
This tool is not intended for high-precision measurement tasks that require integrated bubble vials, as it functions primarily as a straight edge for smoothing and leveling rather than a spirit level. It may also be oversized for small-scale DIY projects or tight spaces where a shorter tool would be more practical.
Key specifications
- Length: 200 cm
- Material: High-quality aluminum
- Profile type: Robust, rigid construction
- Application: Leveling and smoothing
How to use
To use the Stabila AL straight edge, place the edge firmly against the surface you intend to level or smooth. Move the tool in a sweeping or oscillating motion to distribute material evenly or to identify high and low spots. When leveling wet screed or plaster, ensure the edge is kept clean to prevent material buildup, which could affect the accuracy of the surface finish. Always store the tool in a clean, dry place to maintain its straightness and structural integrity.
What to consider before purchase
- Verify that the 2-meter length is appropriate for your specific workspace and project scale.
- Ensure you have adequate storage space to prevent the tool from being bent or damaged when not in use.
- Consider whether you require a version with integrated vials if you need to check for horizontal or vertical alignment simultaneously.
Usage recommendations
For optimal results, clean the straight edge immediately after each use to prevent hardened mortar or plaster from affecting the profile's flatness. Regularly inspect the tool for any signs of impact damage that could compromise its precision.
