Nail Punch STANLEY Dynagrip 0-58-912 — hardened steel, ergonomic grip
STANLEY Dynagrip Nail Punch 0-58-912 is a durable hand tool designed to drive nail heads beneath the workpiece surface. The tool features a precision-milled hardened steel body for extended life and an ergonomic Dynagrip handle that provides secure control during striking and positioning. The nail punch has a 1.6 mm diameter tip and a color-coded sleeve to aid quick identification of size on the jobsite.
The hardened steel construction resists deformation and wear, maintaining a consistent striking surface over time. The Dynagrip ergonomic sleeve improves hold and reduces slippage when aligning the punch on nail heads. Color coding simplifies selection among similarly sized punches, saving time during finishing and trim work.
Position the tip of the nail punch on the head of the nail so the punch is aligned with the nail shaft. Hold the handle firmly using the Dynagrip sleeve to maintain control and strike the hardened end of the punch with a hammer to drive the nail head below the surface. Apply controlled, even strikes and check the depth frequently to avoid over-penetration. For finishing, fill the countersunk hole with suitable wood filler and sand smooth.
Use eye protection and work gloves when striking with a hammer. Avoid using the punch on hardened or excessively large fasteners beyond the indicated tip diameter. Store the tool in a dry place to prevent corrosion and inspect the striking surface periodically for flattening or chipping; replace the tool if the striking face is damaged.
