Claw hammer Stanley 1-51-037 Black
The Stanley 1-51-037 Claw Hammer Black is a 600 g, 325 mm hand tool designed for general carpentry, demolition and fastening tasks. It features a tempered, forged head with a flat face and a claw suited for nail removal and light prying. The tool combines a sturdy steel shaft and an ergonomically shaped Dynagrip® Pro handle to provide controlled strikes and comfortable handling for prolonged use.
The forged and tempered head delivers consistent impact performance and a smooth striking surface for accurate driving of nails. A robust connection between head and handle is engineered to resist heavy impacts. The tubular oval steel shaft offers a balance of strength and reduced weight while maintaining an effective grip-to-head proportion. A magnetic nail holder assists single-handed positioning in confined spaces, and the pronounced claw design supports efficient nail extraction and slate or decking preparation. The Dynagrip® Pro handle improves grip comfort and slip resistance during use. The design conforms to DIN 7239 standards.
Hold the hammer near the end of the handle for maximum leverage when driving nails, or move your hand closer to the head for controlled finishing strikes. Place nails against the surface and, if needed, use the magnetic holder to secure small nails before initial strikes. Use the flat face for driving and the claw for removing nails or for light prying; position the claw under the nail head and apply steady leverage to extract the nail. Inspect the tool before use and maintain a firm grip to prevent slipping.
For safe operation, wear appropriate eye protection and gloves. Use the hammer for tasks within its weight class to avoid overloading the head-to-handle connection. Store the tool in a dry place and check the handle and shaft regularly for wear or damage. For precise finishing work, use controlled, lighter strikes and reposition the grip as needed.
