Pincers STANLEY Carpenter's Pincers 180 mm, carbon steel, 305 g
STANLEY Carpenter's Pincers 180 mm are hand pincers designed for pulling nails, cutting soft wire and gripping workpieces in woodworking, demolition and general construction. Constructed from heat-treated carbon steel with a polished black-lacquered head and flat handles, these pincers combine durability with a comfortable grip. The tool meets ISO 9243 and DIN 5241 standards and is precision ground to maintain cutting and gripping performance over repeated use.
The heat-treated carbon steel forging provides high strength and wear resistance for repeated prying and nail extraction. A black lacquered polished head improves corrosion resistance and extends service life. Flat handles reduce hand fatigue during extended use while offering secure control for pulling and cutting tasks. Precision ground jaws ensure consistent contact and reliable cutting of soft wire and nail shanks.
Position the pincers so the jaws engage the nail head or wire near the surface to be worked on. Use the flat handles to apply steady pulling force while levering the tool for extraction; for stubborn fasteners, rock the tool gently to gain purchase before pulling. To cut light wire, place the wire close to the jaw pivot for maximum mechanical advantage and squeeze the handles firmly. After use, wipe the tool clean and store in a dry toolbox to maintain performance.
Use safety glasses and gloves when extracting nails or cutting wire. Avoid using the pincers on hardened steel bolts or large-diameter fasteners beyond the tool’s intended capacity to prevent damage. Regularly inspect and lightly oil the pivot to preserve smooth operation and prevent corrosion.
