F-clamp STANLEY FMHT0-83245, clamp opening 40 cm, cast iron and steel
STANLEY FMHT0-83245 is an F-clamp with a 40 cm clamp opening, made from cast iron and steel. Designed for holding workpieces during woodworking, assembly and gluing, this single-unit clamp delivers stable clamping pressure and reliable alignment. The metal construction combines a rigid cast iron body with a steel bar and screw mechanism to provide durability and repeatable performance for repair and project work.
The clamp offers a long 40 cm opening that accommodates larger panels and assemblies while maintaining even pressure distribution across the workpiece. Robust materials—cast iron for the body and steel for the bar and screw—ensure wear resistance and structural stability. The simple single-screw operation enables precise adjustment of clamping force and quick setup. Overall design minimizes workpiece damage while keeping components firmly in place during adhesive curing or mechanical assembly.
Position the fixed jaw of the F-clamp against one side of the workpiece and slide the movable jaw along the steel bar until it is close to the opposite side. Turn the screw handle to advance the movable jaw and apply the required pressure; tighten gradually to avoid damaging the material. For gluing, apply the adhesive, bring parts into alignment, then clamp so pressure is distributed evenly across the joint. After work is complete and adhesive has cured or fasteners are installed, loosen the screw to release the clamp and remove the workpiece.
Use protective pads between the clamp jaws and finished surfaces to prevent marking. Inspect the screw and bar for debris before use and tighten only to the required torque to avoid over-stressing the clamp or workpiece. Store in a dry place to reduce corrosion risk and perform periodic maintenance by cleaning and lightly lubricating the screw thread.
