Sanding belt pack STANLEY STA33381-XJ 3 pcs for belt sanders
STANLEY STA33381-XJ sanding belt pack contains three 120-grit abrasive belts designed for use with compatible belt sanders. These replacement belts are intended for material removal, surface preparation and finishing on wood, painted surfaces, varnished finishes and metal. Supplied in a set of three, they allow quick replacement during workshop tasks or on-site jobs where belt-format abrasives are required.
The 120-grit abrasive offers a balance between cutting speed and surface refinement, suitable for intermediate sanding stages. Belts are supplied in a standard brown abrasive suitable for general-purpose sanding across multiple materials. The three-piece pack provides immediate spares to reduce downtime when a belt becomes clogged or worn, and the format fits common belt sander models that accept this size and mounting style.
This 120-grit sanding belt is not designed for ultra-fine finishing where higher-grit abrasives (e.g., 220 and above) are required to achieve a very smooth surface. It may also wear faster and require more frequent replacement when used for aggressive heavy stock removal on hard materials compared with coarser, dedicated heavy-cut belts.
Ensure the belt sander is switched off and disconnected from power before replacing belts. Fit the sanding belt onto the sander according to the machine manufacturer’s instructions, observing the correct belt direction marked on the belt and sander. Tension and track the belt as required, start the sander and test at low speed on a scrap piece to confirm correct mounting. Use steady, even passes with moderate pressure and allow the abrasive to do the cutting; avoid forcing the sander to extend belt life and maintain consistent results.
Use the STANLEY 120-grit belts for intermediate sanding steps: start with this grit to remove rough material or coatings, then switch to finer grits for finishing. Replace belts when cut efficiency drops or when the abrasive becomes clogged to maintain consistent performance.
