Drill bit STANLEY STA54042 for rotary hammer, Ø10 mm, length 160 mm, 1 pc
STANLEY STA54042 drill bit for rotary hammer, Ø10 mm, length 160 mm, is a single-piece carbide-tipped bit designed for drilling into masonry and concrete. The bit is intended for use with SDS-plus rotary hammers and is suitable for anchor holes, through-holes and general concrete-drilling tasks in construction, renovation and trade environments. Its 10 mm diameter and 160 mm overall length provide a balance between reach and rigidity for standard fixing and installation work.
The carbide tip increases wear resistance and maintains cutting performance when drilling into hard materials such as concrete and masonry. The SDS-plus shank ensures secure, tool-specific engagement and quick bit changes without additional adapters. Supplied as a single piece, the bit is compact and convenient for carrying in a toolkit or on site. The 160 mm length gives sufficient depth for many anchor and through-hole applications while keeping straightness and control during use.
Fit the STA54042 bit into an SDS-plus rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer's instructions until it locks in place. Select the hammer drilling mode on the machine and position the bit on the marked drilling point. Apply steady axial pressure and start drilling at low speed to establish the hole, then increase speed as required while maintaining control. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust and prevent clogging. After completing the hole, release the bit from the tool by following the rotary hammer's bit removal procedure.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and dust mask when drilling into concrete. For longer holes or tougher materials, consider peck drilling (intermittent withdrawal) to reduce heat and clear debris. Match drill diameter and length to the anchor or fixing requirements and check compatibility with your SDS-plus rotary hammer.
