Hammer Stanley STHT0-51909 Carbon Steel Handle 29.5 cm
The Stanley STHT0-51909 Carbon Steel Handle 29.5 cm hammer combines a carbon steel head with a 29.5 cm handle designed for general construction and repair work. The tool is manufactured to DIN 1041 standards and features a smooth striking face suitable for driving nails and light demolition tasks while minimising surface damage. The hammer’s reinforced connection between head and handle and its balanced design improve control and reduce user fatigue during repeated use.
The carbon steel head provides durability and wear resistance for extended service life. A two-component epoxy adhesive secures the head-to-handle connection, increasing reliability and safety in use. Optimal balancing enhances momentum transfer for more effective strikes and helps prevent unnecessary wrist and arm fatigue. The bi-material ergonomic grip includes a ribbed surface and flared end to improve grip security and reduce slippage during work.
Hold the hammer near the end of the handle with a firm, comfortable grip on the bi-material surface to maximise control and leverage. Position the nail or fastener, align the smooth face of the head with the target, and deliver controlled strikes using shoulder and elbow motion rather than only the wrist. For removal tasks, use the claw or appropriate edge while keeping the workpiece secured. Inspect the head-to-handle connection before use and stop using the tool if any looseness or damage is detected.
Use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves when striking or chipping to protect against flying debris. Store the hammer in a dry place to prevent corrosion of the carbon steel head and periodically check the grip and adhesive bond for wear. For heavy or specialised demolition, choose a tool specifically designed for that application.
