How to use

Plug the USB-C connector into a DP Alt Mode-capable USB-C, USB4 or Thunderbolt laptop or device and connect the HDMI Type A end to an HDMI monitor or TV. Ensure the source device supports the desired output resolution and, where applicable, that Display Stream Compression (DSC) is enabled to achieve maximum resolutions. No drivers or software are required; the connection is recognized by the host system automatically.

Usage recommendations

For 8K at 60Hz output, use a host with DisplayPort Alt Mode that supports DisplayPort 1.4 and DSC (for example Intel 11th Gen or later, or compatible discrete GPUs). Note that Apple M1/M2/M3-based Macs are limited to 4K 60Hz over USB-C DP Alt Mode and cannot reach 8K 60Hz.
